Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! [Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family]. 6 And if anyone [worthy] of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him; but if not, it shall come back to you. And stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. Whenever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you; 9 And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.
Contemplation
The divine instructions given by the Lord are the known way of true success in life. If we choose to ignore such words from the Lord, we will only end up struggling. Beloved, if we are serious about making the process the Lord has destined for us, it is so important for us to follow the Lord’s leading for our lives. If you choose to be different for other to consider you to be daring, unfortunately you will face the negative consequences alone.
In the divine instructions the Lord gave to the disciples, it is very important for us to follow this leading when the Lord chose to speak us in this way. Part of what the Lord says includes the following,
“Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! [Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family].
6 And if anyone [worthy] of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him; but if not, it shall come back to you.”
This instruction reveals to us that there is a glorious present with us that is far greater than any one of us can imagine at work to guide us through the preaching of the word.
I have come to see that there are things that follow a man who is serious about this instructions. If this man chooses not to step out to obey this instructions, then this testimony will be far from him. If you want to rejoice in sharing this unique testimony, then you have to be active in following the Lord’s leading wherever He instruct you to step out. Whenever the lead us into a place, the scripture gave us this instruction, it says,
“And stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.”
It is so very important for us to stay wherever the Lord guides us into. There is a strong need for us to follow the Lord’s leading carefully. Please do not keep moving from one house to another. It is dangerous for us to step out into a place the Lord did not send us. Somethings make look beautiful but the trouble that is in it will be too much to settle with.
In verse 8 the word of the Lord says,
“Whenever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you;
9 And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.”
If the Lord is leading us to a city that has no hotel and the leading is for the now, it is so obvious that the Lord is ready to do something very unusual. The word of the Lord in verse 9 made us see that the Lord will begin to heal the sick as we step out to minister and people will begin to see that the Kingdom of God has come close to you and many will be greatly amazed.
Practical issues
Beloved, the Spirit of the Lord is mightily at work leading us to bring great glory to His name, let the Lord guide you and amazing testimonies will definitely follow. Shalom!
