Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. 22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].
Contemplation
It is a great privilege and authority for any to encounter the glory of the Lord in amazing ways like that made manifest here. Look at that which was said of the Almighty God in verse 20, it was said to be that,
“Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],”
It is amazing how the blessings of the Lord was made manifest in Christ after He was crucified on the cross of Calvary. It became a serious concern because the Lord had not known anything like death before. It was not in His nature to die, but for the redemption of mankind, He paid the price for the sin of mankind when He chose to die on the cross, but after three days, He resurrected from death unto life. Hallelujah!
In the word of the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord began to speak to us from verses 21 and 22 this is what the scripture says,
“Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.
22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],”
Please take note that the Spirit of the Lord did make us see that this was written far above all satanic dominion and powers not only in this world but in the ages to come, the Lord has put all things under His feet, this is indeed a glorious exaltation that can be seen to be of the Lord. The scripture says this is appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church. If one has this position clearly given before all, it is obvious that no other can stand against this divine authority. Beloved, once the Spirit of the Lord is in charge, all other powers bow in total submission to this rule and reign. The scripture made us to see clearly in verse 23, “Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].”
There is no other who has this power and authority to reign like this except the Lord God Almighty. The Lord reigns in glory and honor and before Him every knee shall bow and every tongue confess to His Lordship. Hallelujah.
