Isaiah 60:1 · AMPC

Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

Receive the word

Contemplation

Beloved, there are several things that the forces and powers of darkness have tried to use against us but because we have a deeper walk with the Lord, no evil against us can succeed. From chapter 60 of Isaiah, the word of the Lord went on to say in verse 1,

“Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

This is indeed a great revelation unfolding unto us and if we are sensitive, we will begin to give the Lord the praise for the extraordinary manifestations that followed. When the word of the Lord says “Arise,” these words were further added to give us a glorious understanding “[from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! There were several painful circumstances that the enemy wanted to keep us in but the Lord says to us rise to a new life. If we keep on living according to the plan of the wicked one, we will never be able to walk into the plan that the Lord has for us. It is therefore very daring for us to take our stand with the purpose of God for our lives and begin to live to the glory of God. If we allow the dreadful looks of the wicked one to threaten us, we will never see the glory on the other side. Step out in faith and the dominion of darkness will break off in the mighty name of Jesus. The word of the Lord went on to say, “Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord),” When we step out from the evil plan of the wicked one, the Spirit of the Lord says, Shine, in other words, it is time for you to take your stand with the glory of the Lord because right now the Spirit of the Lord says,

“for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

Hallelujah! Beloved, it is so important to shout and let the whole world know that without doubt your light has come. There is a great difference between “it is about to come” and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!” The Lord is not just about to make it happen, because once you step out by faith from the beginning, the amazing glory of the Lord will follow on to shine. Beloved, it is the dawn of a new beginning and it is too late for anything to try to stop us. To Jesus be all the glory.

Practical issues

The Lord our God who began this great work in us will definitely bring it to a glorious perfection in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
