Isaiah 60:22 · AMPC

The least one shall become a thousand [a clan], and the small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its [appointed] time.

Contemplation

It is so amazing how the glory that the Lord spoke about in this passage of Isaiah chapter 60 will rise in majestic ways to fill the whole earth as the water covers the sea. What a glorious God we serve? There are mighty dimensions of the glory that cannot be fully seen by all now, but it will be made manifest someday to the glory of the Lord. What a majestic revelation given to us now, that we will see glorified someday. Hallelujah!

The Spirit of the Lord in verse 22, spoke to us the conclusion of this awesome and glorious declaration. He said,

“The least one shall become a thousand [a clan], and the small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its [appointed] time.”

It is so amazing that the least one in this declaration will become a thousand. This is speaking of a number that is up to a thousand. Hallelujah! It then went on to help us understand that when we see the small one, a strong nation will be made manifest. What a mighty God we serve indeed? And the Spirit of the Lord went on to declare “I, the Lord, will hasten it in its [appointed] time.” When that moment spoken of the Lord is made manifest someday, the Lord God has the glorious capacity to bring it to pass. Hallelujah! This is the reason why when the word was spoken in verse 1, the Spirit of the Lord spoke with great authority saying,

“Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!”

When this verse was given in this passage, it started with so much confidence that the end is well written with the glory of the Lord already sealed up. In similar way, the Lord our God knows the end from the beginning and He will definitely bring it to pass in amazing ways.

Practical issues

Thank You Jesus for the glory that awaits us your children. What you started at the beginning will definitely come into full manifestation in Jesus mighty name. Amen. Shalom!
