Isaiah 40:25-28 · AMPC

To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high and see! Who has created these? He Who brings out their host by number and calls them all by name; through the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing or lacks anything. Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.

Contemplation

There are so many things contending against the blessings of the Lord in our lives and this is the reason why every one of us must be sensitive to the Lord’s leading. The Lord our God has defeated the forces and powers of darkness already and there is no way they can succeed against us as long as we are living in obedience to the instructions of the Lord.

In Isaiah chapter 40 from verses 25 and 26, the word of the Lord says,

“To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One.

26 Lift up your eyes on high and see! Who has created these? He Who brings out their host by number and calls them all by name; through the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing or lacks anything.”

Each one of us need to look at the passage given there and come to understand the question. It is obvious that there is none that can stand against the Lord, for you can do nothing against the Lord God Almighty. The word of the Lord went on to say, there is no one that is missing or can be said to lack anything, because the Lord our God is strong in power for He is the one who bring their host by number and calls them by name. In other words, the Lord knows them all by their name and it is so amazing.

In verse 27, the question was asked again,

“Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God?”

If you are sensitive to observe things with the Lord of Host, you will understand that from the eternal past up to this day, there has never been one occasion where the Lord has not bring to pass the word spoken and before the day of a thing the Lord already knows the end.

The word of the word went on to speak to us from verse 28,

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.”

Beloved, if you have been careful about the words spoken, you will come to understand that the everlasting God, who is known to be the Lord, is known to be the Creator of the ends of the earth, the one who never faint or grow weary. He has been known to also be the one with whom there is no searching of His understanding. What a glorious God we serve? Hallelujah!

Practical issues

The Lord our God is indeed worthy of the glory. We have decided to trust Him and there are more than enough reasons to support our reasons. To God be all the praise. Shalom!
