A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God! Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain. 5 And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.
Contemplation
What a glorious God we serve? Who can be compared to the Lord our God? He stands out in all the heavens and the earth as God alone. He is mighty and indeed full of glory, splendor and adoration. What an awesome God we serve. The Lord our God has ushered us into a new season and the blessings and lifting know no bounds. From this moment, the glory of the Lord our God shall be revealed like never before and all flesh shall see it together. The Lord our God shall make His glory to be encountered like never before and many will indeed bow in worship to Him. The name of the Lord shall be mightily exalted before all and all flesh shall bow before the King of glory.
In the book of Isaiah chapter 40, from verse 3, the word of the Lord says,
“A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!”
Without doubt something amazing that was spoken of many years ago is about to be made manifest like never before. And when the moment finally became a strong reality, the heavens were opened and the glory that was never seen before was registered upon the face of the earth. The voice of one crying in the wilderness became amazingly real as we heard of the voice of John the Baptist crying “… make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!” Without doubt this was obviously fulfilled with the declaration of the Lord as written in verses 4 and 5 saying,
“Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.
5 And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. “
Hallelujah! By the coming of the Lord Jesus it became obvious that every valley became exalted and the mountains and hill were made low. The places that were out of reach before became exalted by the coming of the Lord. The places that were so high were made low like the mountain and the hills. The places that were beyond reach were all restored at the coming of the Lord. What a glorious opportunity we have to behold His glory in a new way. Thank you Lord for the manifestation of your glory in a new dimension. We are indeed very grateful.
Practical issues
