A multitude of camels [from the eastern trading tribes] shall cover you [Jerusalem], the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all the men from Sheba [who once came to trade] shall come, bringing gold and frankincense and proclaiming the praises of the Lord. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you [as the eastern pastoral tribes join the trading tribes], the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on My altar, and My glorious house I will glorify.
Contemplation
Who is there like unto the Lord our God? He is glorious in holiness and always doing wonders in amazing ways. When the Lord begins to do beautiful things, a great number of people will be completely shocked. What a glorious opportunity for us to glorify the name of the Lord our God.
The word of the Lord in verse 6 of Isaiah chapter 6 says,
“A multitude of camels [from the eastern trading tribes] shall cover you [Jerusalem], the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all the men from Sheba [who once came to trade] shall come, bringing gold and frankincense and proclaiming the praises of the Lord.”
This scripture speaks of camels that will cover Jerusalem in amazing ways, but the fact is that, in our present day, it is not impossible for the place to be filled with different kinds of camels. But it is very possible that when this people return, this can also include today’s way of moving gold and frankincense to reach out to a great number of people. When this begins to fall in place, they will begin to proclaim the praises of the Lord. Hallelujah!
According to the word of the Lord in verse 7,
“All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you [as the eastern pastoral tribes join the trading tribes], the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on My altar, and My glorious house I will glorify.”
Without doubt, the Lord our God will begin to do great and amazing things that will surprise many. Remember, the word of the Lord prepared the heart of the people with great joy, “they shall come up with acceptance on My altar, and My glorious house I will glorify.” Hallelujah to the Lord our God.
The Lord our God will definitely bring greater glory to His name and many will bow in humble adoration like never before. The glory of the Lord shall be seen in the midst of His people and many will glorify His name.
Practical issues
What a beautiful Savior we serve? The glory of the Lord will be mightily upon us and the name of the Lord will be praised. To Jesus be all the glory. Shalom!
